New! CATEK Quick Cant Tilt Calculator
Want to set your bindings with exactly 2° of toe lift and 1° of inward
cant? No problem. How about 8° of heel lift with no cant? But of course.
CATEK's patented Quick Cant system has always offered the most adjustable canting
and lifting on the market. Now, using our Tilt Calculator, you can set and maintain
exact cant and lift settings – measured in degrees. Just plug in your desired
settings and the Tilt Calculator does the rest. This is the tool that you've
been
waiting for. Check

Independent, Infinitely Adjustable
Cant & Lift
CATEK's patented Quick Cant system provides the most advanced, mechanically
elegant solution for setting binding lift and canting. Our system of 4 tilt screws
enables riders to independently adjust lift and cant with the turn of a hex wrench – quickly,
easily, at your tuning bench or on the hill. The true anatomical binding
fit provided by the CATEK Quick Cant system results in
increased rider comfort, direct response, and immediate power transfer.
Not only does the Quick Cant system provide an unmatched range of lift (0-8°)
and
cant (0-4°), it does so without the need for extra discs or wedges. That
means when you want to change your lift or cant, you just do it. You don't need
to buy expensive extra discs and you're not limited to predefined increments
of
lift and cant. CATEK bindings provide independent,
stepless,
wide-range
cant
and
lift
adjustability right out
of
the
box. |

True Board Flex Disc Design
The foundation of CATEK Freeride and Olympic bindings is the patented
CATEK disc – an
important technical breakthrough that is unlike any other mounting disc
in the industry. The CATEK disc's underside is specially shaped
to include a patented elastomer ring that
distributes rider induced binding loads to the snowboard in a gradual,
uniform profile, thereby minimizing
localized binding forces and stress concentrations. The snowboard is
permitted to flex naturally in response to the rider's input – it's
what we call "True Board Flex" and it's unmatched
by any other binding system.
Our True Flex disc is rigidly mounted to the board surface at the disc
center, but via compression of the elastomer ring, it presents an effective
curved underside profile that compensates for board flex and disc deflection
during riding. Because the disc progressively distributes
load from the center toward the edge of the board, rather than
applying the
load directly
at the
disc
perimeter, CATEK bindings do not exhibit problems with board base concavity
common to other binding designs. |

Direct, All-Metal Power Path
With the CATEK Olympic and Freeride bindings, rider induced forces follow
a direct, all metal path from the plate through the tilt screws to the mounting
disc for incredible power transfer. We have specifically avoided introducing
power-robbing elastomer compression into the force transmission path, and by
doing so, CATEK bindings offer peerless responsiveness. |

Vibration Isolation via Mechanical
Decoupling
In contrast to most binding systems that attempt to deaden vibrations with elastomers,
CATEK's patented True Flex disc mechanically
decouples
the rider from board edge vibration. Only vibrations that are strong enough to
propagate to the rigidly mounted inner center of the binding disc are transmitted
to
the
rider.
The
elevated outer section of the True Flex disc is decoupled from the board edge,
and consequently does not provide a vibration transmission path. This stands
in distinct contrast to competing designs that place a direct vibration
transmission path nearer to the edge of the board. Compared to such designs,
CATEK
bindings greatly reduce the edge noise and vibrations felt by the rider. |

Rigid Aluminum Construction
CATEK bindings are made from structurally rigid, machined aluminum.
Our binding plates are machined from domestic 7075 T6 aircraft aluminum – among
the highest performance aluminums available. The result is a rigid binding structure
that transmits power to the snowboard like never before. Input from the rider
is transmitted directly and powerfully to the snowboard, without any delay due
to unwanted flex in the binding system. |

Plate Flex Profile
When developing the CATEK Olympic and Freeride binding plates,
we relied extensively on the latest Finite Element Analysis software to tune
the respective flex characteristics. Our plates provide a stiff, immediate
ride quality but are optimized to avoid harshness. The result is a precise
ride and repeatable performance. |

Adjustable Ride Height
A high performance feature of our patented Quick Cant system is the ability to
adjust overall binding height without using extra lift kits. The Olympic series
offer
0, +2, and +4mm lift options. The Freeride series has a two position 0 or +3mm
lift setting. With this unique feature you can easily adjust your boot height
off your board. |

Single King Pin Convenience
Our use of a single massively strong King Pin to secure the binding plate to
the mounting disc ensures not only a robust connection, but also unmatched
simplicity. The King Pin enables easy binding adjustments and effortless binding
swapping across multiple boards. All lift and cant settings are maintained
during the
swap.
Our new 10mm King Pin size standard is common to the Olympic and Freeride models.
This means that either binding series can be mounted to any 10mm True Flex disc.
You can easily switch between Olympics and Freerides on the same board, or across
your whole quiver. |

Integrated 4×4 and 3-hole
Insert Pattern Compatibility
The Olympic Series True Flex disc incorporates hole patterns to match
the industry
standard 4×4 pattern as well the 3-hole pattern. Whatever board you ride,
the Catek Olympic Series disc will fit, and the Catek Olympic Series Disc
Kit
enables
any second board to be mounted for speedy binding changes. |

Super Stance Width Adjustability
Did your board maker skimp on inserts? Do you want to fine tune your stance position?
We know the feeling; that's why we offset the hole pattern on our True Flex
mounting disc. In addition to mounting centered on your board's hole pattern,
you can spin the disc 180° relative to the nose/tail of your board. This
provides 5 distinct disc positions for every set of board inserts – that
equals a full inch of stance position adjustability per disc. |

3° Disc
Divots
Combined with our Quick Cant tilt screw system, the 3° divots machined into
our True Flex mounting disc provide positive angle settings that refuse to slip.
The divots extend around the disc to enable stance rotation options throughout
the full 360° range. Laser engraved angle indicators make it easy to set
up
and maintain your desired stance angles. |

Large Boot/Binding Surface Contact
Having sufficient boot to binding contact area is crucial to properly supporting
the boot and transmitting rider input to the board. Catek Olympic bindings
are designed with ample contact area to provide a stable supportive platform
for your boot. Additionally, the bail blocks have an embedded elastomer pad
for added boot grip. The Catek Freeride boasts a truly flat boot support surface
and tangentially blended aluminum (rigid) toe ramp for both foot comfort and
increased binding response. |

Spring Design "Stand Up" 1/4-inch
Stainless Steel Bails
Because we know that fighting "floppy" bails is a pain, we custom
bend our incredibly strong 1/4-inch stainless steel bails so that they naturally
stand up. This ensures easy boot entry at the top of your favorite slope as well
as
the option to fold the bail down at the end of the day. |
